Lockenhaus Kammermusikfest

Founded by violinist Gidon Kremer, Lockenhaus Kammermusikfest is a renowned chamber music festival that takes place every year in an enchanting castle in the heart of Austria. In 2012, Nicolas Altstaedt was appointed was appointed artistic director, taking the lead in organizing the festival, and initiating a complete rebrand for the event.

Pilvax Studio was hired to design the new visual identity for the festival and to create all of its print materials including brochures, posters, flyers, etiquettes, envelopes, and the list goes on. Balázs Böröcz, founder of Pilvax Studio, has participated in the festival as resident photographer and cinematographer since it’s rebrand. This photo essay is full of beautiful practice and performance moments from the 2012 festival.
