Concert film production

The Hungarian National Philharmonic approached us with a request of creating an online concert series for them for the next eight weeks. They would like to offer their audiences high-quality concert films in different chamber music setups, to help them stay connected to music in this upcoming period. Also, as more and more people like to enjoy watching concerts from the safety and comfort of their homes, they realized the importance of the continuous online presence for their brand.

We took care of the entire production, lighting, filming, audio recording with a musical director, audio editing from several takes, and finishing. Special cinematic lighting was installed to make the space (rehearsal room) feel cosier, produce a wonderful soft light on them and hide details we didn’t want to see. We also used 22 of the highest quality microphones (most of them carefully hidden or from hanging above) for creating the audio with different mixes to each musical setup, and 5 cinema cameras. This resulted in a cinematic concert film series of eight concerts and more than forty different pieces, everything produced in their rehearsing room. Here is an excerpt from the first concert.
